The page should come first
Most notes begin as unfinished thoughts. Asking for an identity before the first sentence reverses the natural order of the work. A local draft lets the note exist before its publication settings do.
Viewing and editing are different powers
A normal viewing link is intended for sharing. Editing access is more sensitive, so Love Notepad provides it separately and asks you to share it only with people you trust.
Account-free has a real trade-off
Without an account, there is no recovery desk for a lost edit key. That is not a footnote: the interface states it before you share editable access.
